Notes: Download Festival in England is one of my favorite gigs. Crowds there regularly exceed 100,000 attendees, and when you step out on the main stage you literally cannot see the end of the people— they just keep on going into the horizon, a sea of rowdy human beings. It’s an intense experience. Slipknot is always a fun band to shoot; their crowds are energetic and there’s just so much.... stuff going on on their stage. But this shot of my friend Corey Taylor only hints at the size of the crowd and the craziness of his band’s show— I was stoked to have captured a singular moment of isolation in such a massive ball of happy insanity.
