Notes: Lamb Of God spent the summer of 2023 on tour with the recently reunited surviving members of Pantera, filled out by the addition of Charlie Benante on drums and Zakk Wylde on guitar. While Dime and Vinnie can never be replaced, I can say with no reservations that Charlie and Zakk both did a phenomenal job of honoring the legacy of the Abbott brothers each and every night. As well, the turn out for these shows was amazing, the crowd response was absolutely rapturous, and the whole tour had an amazing family vibe from start to finish. The light for this shot of Zakk was perfect— it looks almost like Photoshop trickery to me, how perfectly he is isolated in the darkness, but it’s honestly really just a lucky exposure.
