Notes: There is a small maritime forest of gnarled and wind-blown live oaks near one of my favorite surf spots in North Carolina. I have tried to shoot these trees during the day many times but have never quite managed to capture their spooky vibe quite right in sunlight— a full moon peeking through the branches managed to do the trick though.
